Research Focus

Maintaining of life requires up to 2 meters of DNA, packed in only several cubic micrometers of space, to be maintained intact, to be replicated and transcribed in strongly regulated manner. Cells have developed series of sophisticated mechanisms that coordinate these processes in space and time to prevent genomic instability and cancer. Our laboratory uses advanced molecular biology, biochemical, bioinformatics and physical approaches to reveal the different mechanisms of synchronization between several processes during DNA replication, DNA repair and transcription.
